Set in a wooded “bowl” and adjacent to the River Wansbeck we believe our Clubhouse and grounds occupy probably the finest site in Morpeth.
With a public licence for the sale of alcohol and accreditation from Northumberland County Council to host Civil Ceremonies our recently re-developed facilities are in high demand and are proving to be a popular choice for a wide spectrum of clients.
The flexibility of our rooms allows us to host anything from a small business meeting to a fully planned and serviced wedding. Across our three function rooms, depending on the layout required, we can comfortably cater for events for up to 250 people – more by the addition of a Marquee connected directly to the Clubhouse.
Our commercial grade kitchen and highly regarded catering service is available to meet all requirements.
Led by Gary Stephenson, our dedicated in house team will work hard to provide a personalised service to all clients.
Elsie Davis Suite.
Named in honour of a close relative of a major sponsor of the club the Elsie Davis Suite is a stylish and flexible function room situated on the ground floor. Up to 250 people can be accommodated depending on the type of function and layout required. The largest of our function rooms the suite has a bright and airy atmosphere with one wall opening onto a large block paved area that is ideal for outdoor entertaining and can also be used to accommodate a marquee attached directly to the building to provide increased capacity whilst retaining a “one room” feel to the whole.
Where privacy is a priority or external light needs to be reduced (e.g. screenshows) this room is equipped with remotely operated internal blinds.

Laidlaws.
With it’s name linked to a family with long ties to the club Laidlaws is situated on the first floor. A glass wall with doors opening directly onto the “Front Row Balcony” provide panoramic views across our perfectly manicured pitches to open woodland beyond. In day to day operations Laidlaws is set up as a “Sports Bar” and serves as our main “Clubroom”. A split-level layout adds a distinctive note whilst retaining the flexibility to be configured to suit the needs of clients wishing to book it. The capacity of the room is 100 depending on the type of function being hosted and layout required.

The Front Row Balcony.
Opening directly off “Laidlaws” the Front Row Balcony offers the ideal spot to watch the action outside. Weather permitting it is also the perfect place to sit and enjoy a quiet drink and a chat.

The 1975 Conference Room
Situated on the ground floor and dedicated to a very significant year in the clubs playing history the 1975 Room provides space for up to 15 people meeting in a “Boardroom” style layout. Configured in theatre style the room can accommodate up to 25 people.
